Three Caesarstone quartz surfaces were specified for the sublime interiors of the Bear and Star restaurant, located at the Fess Parker Winery and Vineyard in Southern California.

The restaurant is owned by Eli Parker, son of the American film actor that gives the winery its name, and opened in early 2017 offering farm-to-table ranch dining in beautiful Los Olivos.

When discussing the project, Parker highlighted the importance of visual design, explaining how great food and a great visual experience goes hand-in-hand to create the right environment for a perfect hospitality setting.

Parker described the selection of Caesarstone for the restaurant interiors as “obviously the natural choice,” praising the wide range of colours and materials available to co-ordinate with any interior aesthetic.

The restaurant features a beautiful chef’s table at its heart, with a Noble Grey quartz surface, that features dark grey natural veins that sweep across a gentle light grey background, as its centrepiece.

Sleek Concrete surfaces was chosen for the impressive U-shaped bar that offers diners an extensive selection from the on-site winery as well as a fantastic selection of cocktails, as Parker recognised that the quartz counter top offered a tangible material for patrons, encouraging them to gravitate towards and physically interact with the surface.

Sleek Concrete encapsulates the look and feel of fine concrete with a warm grey base offering an industrial appeal, yet has all of the durability and ease of maintenance that Caesarstone quartz surfaces are renowned for, perfect for what will be an in-demand space in the restaurant.

Bespoke furniture was created for the dining room, with unique tables finished with Vanilla Noir table-tops, a classic Caesarstone design that features a rich black base with dramatic veins.
